How to use the "Tool of the Month"

We love ¼” tape because it provides a detail that is unexpectedly easy to create for your artwork or home projects. Different ways Average to art has used ¼” tape:
- Use different sizes of tape when painting stairs
- Provide grout lines for faux tile (see below)
- Add pinstripe to a painting

Tool of the Month- 1/4" Tape

Average to art’s tool of the month is 1/4" tape. The tape comes in a multitude of colors and tack. We have found we like a medium to low tack. Look for ¼” tape that has a plastic circle in the center. Because the tape is so small, when the middle is paper, sometimes it can loose its shape, especially if your hands get it wet from water, plaster or paint (or you crush it with a ladder). If you live in Huntsville or Madison, AL, you may go to Huntsville Decorating Center on Regal Dr. to purchase white ¼” tape with a plastic center. Not only does Huntsville Decorating Center have the tape, but amazing customer service. Tell the guys we said hello!
