Faux Effects in Mexico- A VERY special Thank You!

We wanted to thank Teresa Diaz Barriga and her staff at Dibaza Designs in Tijuana, Mexico for their support and patience on this adventure. Many weeks went into planning and coordinating supplies for the Casa En Las Nubes project. Teresa and her staff were helpful and successfully shipped ALL of our products and they arrive on time as promised.

We needed to ship within the country and Faux Effects International was there for us in Mexico! Thank you to EVERYONE involved!
If you find your self creating art and decorative/faux finishes in Puerto Vallarta or any part of Mexico, we recommend using Dibaza Designs! http://www.dibazadesigns.com/

Photos: Some of our products we used by Faux Effects included "AquaCreme" and Lusterstone; Alissa mixing up the perfect colors to glaze the walls; Donna Witbeck of Artistic Wall Finishes (SW Montana area) and Dan Gangler of Liquid Art Design (Chicago area) apply thier perfect glaze mixture to match the headboards of each room.

While Faux Finishing in Puerto Vallarta....

The winter months are mating season for whales in Puerto Vallarta. They come into the bay and are a beautiful sight even from high above in the Penthouse of Casa En Las Nubes. Dan and Wendy Gangler Dan of Liquid Art Design in the Chicago area are not only seasoned faux finishers, but happen to be at the perfect spot to see one of the whales jumping out of the water! Alissa and Donna happen to catch it too from high above... but Dan and Wendy were THERE!

The International Faux Finisher/Decorative Finisher Dream Team

Alissa put the call out to fellow faux finishers for a working vacation in Puerto Vallarta. She could not have asked for a better team to join her and Austin!
Donna Witbeck owns Artistic Wall Finishes in West Yellowstone, Montana. She was a decorative painter for over 20 years when she started her own decorative/faux finish business. Donna creates custom wall art in southwest Montana, Idaho and Wyoming... and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

The international faux finish team takes in the views!

Alissa and Austin Ramsay, owners of Huntsville's very own, Average To Art. Although Alissa has had to cut back a little locally due to health reasons, physical therapy made her ready to work in Puerto Vallarta. Dan, Wendy & Donna were the best team anyone could have asked for companions in work and play.

Dan & Wendy Gangler, owners of Liquid Art Design in Montgomery, Illinois. Dan is a third generation finisher and generously shared much of his industry knowledge with us. Dan and Wendy create custom art in the Chicago area.

More "Dream Team" Spot Lights coming soon!

A Few Decorative Finish/Faux Finish Project Photos From Puerto Vallarta (More To Come)!

Our AMAZING Penthouse "Staff"!

We could not have asked for a more hospitable crew to take care of us while we worked and played in Puerto Vallarta! GREAT FOOD, delicious drinks, soft robes & towels... One of the group’s favorite meal time items was the FRESH pico de gallo, guacamole and tortilla chips made daily!

This little puppy has the life... I don't think I've ever met a more energetic and happy dog!

Fireworks Every Night!

Every night at about 9pm, we had a fireworkds show!

Down Time...

After work, after the pool, after the beach, the dream team chilled out by playing games of pool, dominos, Wii, and so much more! Fun had by all!

Welcome To Puerto Vallarta! Views From the Penthouse

Jungle views looking out the back windows, ocean and pool views looking out the front of the Penthouse. Welcome to paradise!

Some of the dream team relaxing at the pool!
