Horse Mural in Featured at FauxWoodBeams.com

We featured the faux beams used in the room above, at http://www.fauxwoodbeams.com, in a December post as our favorite new product. The great staff at Faux Wood Beam posted two of Average to art’s mural pictures in their portfolio section. Thanks Faux Wood Beams!

"The World's Most Exotic Finishes"

I was reading Elle Décor last month and saw an ad for ALSA Corporation. Always looking for the next best thing, we went to their website and had to share “the world’s most exotic finishes". They have a paint called “eclipse wall paint” that reacts to temperature changes. Below is a link to their residential paint line featuring Eclipse and MORE!

Alabama State Agenda 2007- Huntsville/Madison County

Average to art's Alissa Murnane recently joined the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce on their annual trip to Montgomery. Although this blog does not discuss personal or political issues, we feel this is an exception. No matter which side of the aisle you prefer, if you live in or around Huntsville/Madison County, Alabama you need to be informed and be a loud voice for our growing community.

BRAC is a reality and so are the diversified industries looking at our community for their home. New jobs and business means more people are moving to this area. Priorities for Huntsville/Madison County include:

-BRAC (apx. 4,700 new jobs and est. 9,000 school children in the next 5-7 years)
-Infrastructure (we need more schools, funding, new and expanded roads)
-Education/Workforce Development
-Provide budget requests for research universities
-Economic Development

These are real issues facing our community TODAY! It is about planning ahead. If Huntsville is to be the shining star of Alabama and provide bragging rights for our politicians, then those same politicians need to earmark funding for our community and vote accordingly. We ALL need to step up and support our community to ensure our longevity as a successful city, not only in Alabama but in the country.
Below are some website for you to get started... For real, get informed and start letting your voice be heard.

As one of the politicians said last week, “Sometimes the squeaky wheel gets fixed first.” Let's start squeak'n!
